To what extent do you think humans are responsible for the endangerment of species, and what ethical obligations do we have towards these animals?
I believe human activity is overwhelmingly responsible for the endangerment of species. Through habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, and overhunting, we've dramatically altered ecosystems. This places a significant ethical obligation on us to not only halt these destructive practices but also to actively work towards conservation. It's a matter of stewardship; if we've caused the problem, we have a moral duty to try and fix it, ensuring the survival of these species for their intrinsic value and for the health of the planet.
