One family celebration that stands out vividly in my memory is my grandmother's 80th birthday party. It happened about five years ago, in the summer. She's a very private person, so it wasn't a massive affair, but it was incredibly special because it brought together almost everyone who mattered to her. Most of my immediate family was there, of course – my parents, my aunts and uncles, and all my cousins.
