These crushed materials are subsequently blended, often with water to create a slurry. This mixture is then introduced into a large, rotating cement kiln where it is heated to approximately 1450°C. This intense heat facilitates a chemical transformation, producing clinker. Following its production, the hot clinker undergoes a rapid cooling phase. The final stage involves grinding the cooled clinker with a small quantity of gypsum in a ball mill. The addition of gypsum is crucial as it regulates the setting properties of the final product. The resultant fine powder is then stored, ready for packaging and distribution.
