To what extent does the media influence people's opinions? Should there be more regulation of media content?
The media wields enormous influence over public opinion, perhaps more so now than ever before. Traditional media outlets shape narratives through editorial choices about which stories to cover and how to frame them, while social media algorithms create echo chambers that reinforce existing beliefs. This influence can be both positive and negative — media can raise awareness about important issues and hold powerful institutions accountable, but it can also spread misinformation and deepen social divisions. Regarding regulation, I believe a balanced approach is necessary.
