One of the most memorable journeys I've ever taken was a trip to the ancient city of Petra in Jordan a few years ago. I went with my close friend, Sarah, who shares my passion for history and adventure. We had planned this trip for ages, poring over guidebooks and watching documentaries, so the anticipation was immense. The journey itself was an adventure from the outset.
