How have family structures changed in your country over the past few decades? Do you think these changes are positive or negative?
Family structures in my country have undergone significant transformations over the past few decades. The traditional extended family, where multiple generations lived under one roof, has largely given way to nuclear families. Additionally, the average family size has decreased considerably as more couples choose to have fewer children due to economic pressures and career aspirations. While some argue that these changes have weakened family bonds, I believe they reflect natural social progress. Smaller families can often provide better educational opportunities and individual attention to each child. However, the decline of extended families has placed greater pressure on elderly care systems, which is a challenge that society needs to address.
